Smart Future Technology
At Airwave we are working on a number of ways to enable information to move faster, more efficiently, and more reliably, across the networks that exist today.
We are evolving mission-critical communications whilst lobbying for mission-critical LTE standards.
Blue Light Futures
In this landmark report, Airwave’s Chief Technology Officer, Euros Evans sets out the challenges that the government, public services and industry need to overcome in order to realise the potential of innovative technologies
Broadband Delivery UK has commissioned Airwave to pilot a number of fixed wireless access technologies for the provision of superfast broadband for the last 5% of the population. The pilot will focus on a small number of homes in a territory within North Yorkshire.
Long Term Evolution (LTE)
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the natural communications transition, and it is a transition that Airwave expects to make in the future. However with standards for mission-critical LTE voice applications still to be formalised, we ask the question: When will LTE be ready for the emergency services?
Airwave is exploring options to transition to LTE with our customers, concentrating on when it is the right time for them and their operations.
In 2012 Airwave was chosen by Scottish Southern Energy Power Distribution for a ground breaking smart grid project known as the Northern Isles New Energy Solutions (NINES) in the Shetland Islands.
With the demand for data and applications increasing, Airwave is exploring the options available that will benefit our customers and their operations.
