Tetra Radio and Operational Support Systems

TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is an open digital standard defined by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

Upgrading to a TETRA Radio system is an effective means of improving communications by individuals and by the organisation. However, changing to this new system requires an understanding of users’ requirements and then ‘mapping’ these into the system configuration.

The Professional Services Group at Airwave is assisting a large number of UK and International public safety and transportation organisations with the implementation and management of their TETRA and APCO 25 radio systems by using Fleet Mapper, Fleet Mapper Enterprise and Radio Manager. These Airwave applications are unique, first-to-market solutions that automate the operational Fleetmapping, Subscriber Management and Provisioning process while supporting the tracking and repair management of radios and other assets.

In addition, many organisations are using the unique skill base of Airwave to assist in the development of the Fleet Map, operational asset management processes and integration of the applications to other TETRA critical applications.
