TOPS Forum
Members will receive information from Airwave, NPIA and Motorola that will assist them in developing terminals, products and/or services that are intended to operate seamlessly over the Airwave network. No contractual arrangement exists between Airwave and the TOPS Forum member.
Eligibility
Any company that wishes to develop a terminal, product or service within the Public Safety marketplace that utilises Airwave’s TETRA network as the bearer
Benefits to TOPS Forum members
- Gain documentation that provides information on the process, policy, pricing and testing procedures for both TETRA terminals, products and services
- Have e-mail access to an Airwave employee to ask questions of a technical nature
- Ability to display their company details, should they wish
- Ability to attend any TOPS Forum meetings that are held
Benefits to Airwave
- Gain an understanding of the types of companies that are interested in developing TETRA terminals, products and services
- Ensure that third party companies know how to conformance test their terminal, product or service on the Airwave network to ensure that the network is not damaged
Customer Benefits
- Allows Airwave’s customers to know the types of companies that are looking to develop TETRA terminals, products and services
- Allows Airwave’s customers to know that third party companies have had their terminal, product or service tested on Airwave’s reference system and, therefore, will not damage their use of the Airwave service
Process
- TOPS Forum members will need to register on the Alliance Programme website
- Upon approval to access the information, members will gain access to documentation that will allow them to develop terminals, products or services that utilise Airwave’s TETRA network
- The TOPS documentation section also gives information on the process, policy, pricing and testing procedures for both TETRA terminals and products
